Charging a Honda Prologue at Home

The Honda Prologue is built on GM's Ultium platform— essentially a Chevy Blazer EV sibling — and charges at home over a J1772 inlet at up to about 11.5 kW. So a 48-amp Level 2 charger lets it draw its full AC speed, with no adapter needed at home.
Because the Prologue shares GM underpinnings, its home charging behaves like the Equinox and Blazer EV: a standard J1772 charger, sized to the car's roughly 11.5 kW onboard limit. Confirm your trim and buy the amperage the car can actually use.
The connector: J1772 at home
The Prologue uses a J1772/CCS1inlet, so home charging is plain J1772 — any standard Level 2 unit works, no adapter. Honda has committed to NACS for future cars and provides a DC adapter for Tesla Supercharger access, but that is a road-trip accessory, not part of your home setup. A 2025+ car with a factory NACS port would instead pair with a NACS home charger or a J1772 unit plus a J1772-to-NACS adapter— check your inlet.
What amperage to buy
With an onboard charger near 11.5 kW, a 48-amp charger on a 60-amp circuit reaches the ceiling. A 40-amp unit like the Emporia Level 2 on a NEMA 14-50 outlet still fills the car overnight for normal driving. Size the circuit with the wire size and breaker guide.
