EVgo is a US DC fast-charging network built around its app. To use one: set up the app and a payment method (optionally enabling autocharge so it starts automatically), pull in, seat the CCS1 connector, and start the session from the app or screen. Billing is per kWh or per minute depending on location and plan.

EVgo often co-locates with grocery and retail parking, so it is a common top-up stop. Autocharge, once set up, makes repeat visits nearly automatic.

Getting set up

Create an EVgo account, add a card, and enable autocharge if your car supports it. Find sites in the app or with our station-finding guide, and aim for a location with multiple stalls.

Starting a session

  • Pull in so the cable reaches your CCS1 port; some sites also offer a Tesla-style connector.
  • Start via the app, a tap card, or autocharge (which recognizes your car when you plug in).
  • Seat the connector firmly and confirm the session has begun on the screen.

Cost and finishing up
