Privacy policy

Last updated July 18, 2026. The short version: we collect as little as possible and we do not sell your data.

Who we are

Volt & Cable ("we", "us") is an EV home-charging review site published by Type 5 Marketing LLC. You can reach us at info@voltandcable.com.

What we collect

  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful. It collects standard, largely anonymized usage data — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and outbound link clicks. We do not use it to identify you personally.
  • Contact form. If you use our contact form, we receive the name, email and message you submit, so we can reply. We use that information only to respond to you.
  • Server logs. Our host records standard technical data (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability, including basic rate-limiting on the contact form to stop spam.

We do not run user accounts, and we do not ask for payment information — purchases happen on the retailer's own site, not ours.

Cookies and tracking

Google Analytics sets cookies to measure usage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on. Blocking them does not affect your ability to read the site.

Affiliate links

When you click a product link, you may be redirected through our affiliate program (chiefly Amazon Associates) before reaching the retailer. Those partners set their own cookies to attribute a purchase to us and operate under their own privacy policies. See our affiliate disclosure for how this works.

How we share data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that make the site work — our analytics provider (Google), our email provider used to deliver contact-form messages (Microsoft), and our hosting provider — each acting on our behalf.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@voltandcable.com. Because we collect so little, in most cases there is nothing tied to you beyond a contact-form message you sent us.

We may update this policy as the site evolves; the "last updated" date above will change when we do.
